On Friday, February 16, in Sochi the Russian Investment Forum, which brought together representatives of federal and regional authorities, leading economists and entrepreneurs, heads of large domestic and foreign companies finished its work. The Kaliningrad region was represented at the forum by the governor of the region Anton Alikhanov, members of the government, general director of the Kaliningrad region Development Corporation Vladimir Zarudny.
During the forum, a number of important agreements were concluded between the regional government and federal development institutions. So, on Friday, Anton Alikhanov and the head of Vnesheconombank, Sergey Gorkov, signed the document, which facilitates the implementation of modern IT solutions based on blockcain-technologies in the Kaliningrad region, as well as projects, aimed at the efficiency improvement of state and corporate governance.
For the Development Corporation, the Sochi Investment Forum was marked by the signing of a tripartite agreement with representatives of the Tatarstan machine-building cluster and innovation cluster “Innokam”.
This agreement allows all its parties to carry out information support, conduct joint events on a regular and planned basis, maintain content in the implementation of common projects.
After signing the agreement, the Director General of the Development Corporation Vladimir Zarudny noted the importance of establishing cooperation between regional development institutions. "The Sochi Investment Forum is an excellent platform for securing and consolidating interregional business contacts. The concluded tripartite agreement with the machine-building and innovation clusters of Tatarstan only confirms this positive trend. I am sure that the Kaliningrad region and Tatarstan have many common economic interests in the machine-building industry. Today in the territory of the westernmost region of the country dozens of enterprises of this sector are located. The Kaliningrad region raises a lot of attention among investors considering options for localizing their productions, especially of export nature. There are all necessary conditions for this - free industrial sites, safe engineering and energy infrastructures, as well as comprehensive tax incentives and preferences provided for by law. The authorities of the region are interested in modern, science-intensive and technological production appearing on its territory", Vladimir Zarudny explained.
It should be noted that the Development Corporation pays great attention to the search for partners among the real sector enterprises that implement large investment projects and are interested in establishing branches in other regions. So, in early February, an agreement on cooperation with Geoservice, one of the leaders in the market of transport construction was signed.
