On Thursday, May 24, on the first day of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the Kaliningrad Region Development Corporation signed cooperation agreements with the Investment Development Agency of the Pskov Region and the Moscow Region Development Corporation. The signature under the agreement of the Kaliningrad Region Development Corporation was put by the Director General Vladimir Zarudny. The Development Institute of the Moscow Region was represented by the Director General Konstantin Bychkov, Pskov Region was represented by Yuri Podobed.
Representatives of development institutions recognized that these agreements will serve the emergence of new investment initiatives, strengthening inter-regional integration, cooperation efforts for the benefit of the economic potential of the North-West and Central Federal Districts.
"Today we signed agreements on cooperation, outlined plans for joint actions and checked the position on the importance of cooperation between the regions in creating legal, tax and infrastructure conditions for attracting investors. No doubt, each of our regions has its own specifics, its competencies, experience in promoting investment projects, creating and developing industrial parks. In preparation for signing the agreements at the forum, we discussed these features and what our development institutions can be useful for increasing the economic potential of the regions. In general, the St. Petersburg International Forum once again confirmed the status of an effective tool for strengthening interregional cooperation", Vladimir Zarudny said after signing the agreements.
It should be noted that on the same day at SPIEF-2018 Vladimir Zarudny signed an agreement on cooperation with Director General of the Artplay Design Center Sergey Desyatov. In general, during the forum, the delegation of the Kaliningrad region government and the Development Corporation plans to sign more than 20 investment memorandums and cooperation agreements.
