From July 1, the process of issuing electronic visas for the Kaliningrad region admission begins.
The electronic visa can be obtained only by citizens of the following countries, the list of which is established by the Government of the Russian Federation:
Austria, Andorra, Bahrain, Belgium, Bulgaria, Vatican, Hungary, Germany, Greece, Denmark, India, Indonesia, Iran, Ireland, Iceland, Spain, Italy, Qatar, Cyprus, China (including Taiwan), Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Kuwait, Latvia, Lithuania, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, the Netherlands, Norway, Oman, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Saudi Arabia, Northern Macedonia, Serbia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey, Philippines, Finland, France, Croatia, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Sweden, Estonia, Japan.
The step-by-step procedure is the following:
1. FILL IN THE APPLICATION on the website: http://electronic-visa.kdmid.ru
The answer will be received within 4 calendar days (regardless of weekends and holidays);
2. GET THE NOTICE OF E-visa issuance on the website or by email;
3. PRINT THE NOTICE or save to the smartphone.
4. SHOW THE NOTICE to a transport company employee (if you travel by bus, plane)
5. SHOW THE NOTICE to the frontier guard at the checkpoint.

By car: Bagrationovsk, Gusev, Mamonovo (Grzekhotki), Mamonovo (Gronovo), Morskoye, Pogranichny, Sovetsk, Chernyshevskoe.

By sea: Kaliningrad, Kaliningrad (Baltiysk), Kaliningrad (Svetly)
In addition to passport and e-visa number a foreigner should have a medical insurance policy. When traveling by plane or train, return tickets or their booking will be required, confirming the date of departure.
The validity period of the electronic visa is 30 calendar days with an allowed stay of up to 8 days. You can get a new visa only after the expiration of the previous one.
The digital document is single for one entry and exit from the region. The visa allows a tourist to be exclusively on the territory of Kaliningrad city and its region. Using the visa for entry to the rest of the territory of the Russian Federation for the purpose of transit travel to the Kaliningrad region or exit from it, also through airports in direct mode, is prohibited.
