The 257th resident of the SEZ is EnCore Group LLC, which will create in the region an industrial complex for the production of silicon wafers with a capacity of 1 GW per year and photovoltaic converters with a capacity of 1 GW per year. The company plans to create 800 new working places and invest 15 billion 374.9 million rubles. According to the information specified in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, the founder of the company is Unigreen Energy LLC. Earlier, the authorities of the Kaliningrad region stated that the production of photovoltaic panels for solar power plants by EnCore Group should become one of the largest investment projects in the region in 2021.
As RBC Kaliningrad wrote, at the end of September 2020, the regional government, the Development Corporation and the Hevel group of companies, which is part of the Ream Management holding, which owns the first solar battery production plant in Russia, signed an agreement on cooperation in the production of photovoltaic products for solar power plants. Chernyakhovsk industrial park was selected for the production of silicon wafers, and Khrabrovo park - for the production of photovoltaic converters. All products will be exported.
