A mechanism for issuing electronic visas for citizens of 53 countries came into force in the Kaliningrad region. The first tourists were able to remotely execute documents and visit the most western region of Russia. A citizen of Poland was the first tourist, driving through the Mamonovo border checkpoint on July 3. According to the border guards, there are already entries from the Lithuanian side. To date, more than two thousand applications for an electronic visa from 30 countries have been submitted.
